I have never been the world’s greatest housekeeper. I probably never will be. My home has a certain ‘lived in’ quality, and I am okay with it. Something I have noticed, however, since becoming a mother, is that my house looks….better….than usual (I bet you thought I was going to say worse, haha). And it looks better not because I’m at home and not working, and certainly not because I have more spare time … my 10 week old takes up plenty of my time. I am actually going to blame the state of my house on having less time. I know that if we are going to eat, or if that ring around the tub is going to come off, it has to be done while Abby is napping. Lately naps have been a struggle…she fights them, and when she does nap, she stays down for 45 minutes, tops. So, in those 45 minutes, its turbo-clean time. Before, I could always put chores off until “later” but now I don’t know if there will be a later, or if I will be rocking a crying, overtired baby all afternoon! I constantly amaze myself at how much I can get done in those 45 minutes!
